Dr. Macwan is the current Section Chief of Neurology at Eisenhower Medical Center. He completed an Internal Medicine internship at New York Medical College. Dr. Macwan performed a Neurology residency at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas followed by a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at University of Kansas Medical Center. He brings an international perspective to the training program, having graduated from Government Medical College in India. Dr. Macwan is a skilled teacher and has given numerous grand round presentations at his home teaching institution. He is an active participant of the acute stroke team at Eisenhower Medical Center. His interest is in general neurology, and he treats all types of neurological problems. Dr. Macwan is Board Certified in Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine. He is professionally trained in EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies, EEG interpretations, evoked potentials and Botox injection administration (for intractable headaches, cervical dystonia, spasticity and hemifacial spasm/blephrospasm).
