Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program

Stereotactic Radiosurgery is a non-surgical, non-invasive method of delivering a precise, robotically-guided dose of intense radiation to a tumor. The beams of radiation, with highly sophisticated computer software, reshape continuously, matching the size and shape of the tumor, allowing a full treatment course in less than an hour and as an outpatient procedure. Eisenhower Neuroscience Institute’s multidisciplinary Stereotactic Radiosurgery team meets regularly to review cases and determine the best treatment and delivery system for each patient. Stereotactic radiosurgery treats various neurological disorders including acoustic neuroma, meningioma, metastatic tumors, melanoma, arterial venous malformations (AVM) and trigeminal neuralgia.
