  • Having grown up in a family of physicians – her mother was a pediatrician and her  father, an ophthalmologist – Dr. Ho was introduced to the field of medicine at a very early age. However, it wasn’t until her father died of a massive stroke at age 56 that she had the desire to become a doctor. “After that unfortunate family tragedy, I decided to pursue a career in medicine,” says Dr. Ho. “I wanted to understand the human body, and what happened to my father.”

An Oregon Health Sciences University alumnus, Dr. Ho was recognized by the Phi Kappa Phi Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society for being in the top of her graduating class. After obtaining bachelor degrees in Zoology and Biology, Dr. Ho earned a medical degree and completed her residency at UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California.

Upon completing residency, Dr. Ho was Board Certified in Family Medicine in July 2000. She has certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and is a Medical Review Officer. Dr. Ho joined Eisenhower Medical Associates in 2010.

Her interests include minor surgery, joint injections, laser aesthetic procedures, sports medicine, occupational medicine and women’s health. In 2000, Dr. Ho was recognized for her work in women’s health when she received the Poster Presentation Award for the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment. In 2009, Inland Empire magazine readers voted Dr. Ho a Top Doctor in the Inland Empire.

“I chose family medicine because I feel a Medical Doctor should have a broad knowledge about medicine first before pursuing any subspecialty. After a few years of practicing, I realized my experience earlier in life has helped me become a better doctor. I have more sympathy with patients in time of sickness and spend more time explaining what has happened to them or their family member. I feel gratified and privileged when I am able to help them in their time of need.”
