News from Eisenhower Medical Center
On Saturday, April 22, at 9 a.m., the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center will host a community-wide event bringing cancer awareness and prevention to the Coachella Valley. Following a continental breakfast in the Healing Garden, guest lecturer Mark Moyad, MD, MPH, will talk about preventive and complementary medicine, followed by an in-depth question and answer session.
Dr. Moyad is the Phil F. Jenkins Director of Complementary and Alternative Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Author of more than 80 medical articles, Dr. Moyad is the editor-in-chief of the medical journal, Seminars in Preventive & Alternative Medicine.
Guided tours of the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center immediately follow the presentation, including Eisenhower’s Imaging Center, digital mammography equipment and stereotactic radio-surgery room.
