About the Five Star Club
Opened in 1984, Eisenhower Five Star Club — an adult day care program — remains the Coachella Valley’s only not-for-profit adult day care center, providing community-based services for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases.
Caring for someone with memory loss stemming from conditions such as Alzheimer’s, stroke or Parkinson’s disease is a challenge. Both patient and caregiver often experience frustration, boredom, anger or depression. What’s more, caregivers can easily become exhausted from meeting the daily demands of caring for someone with dementia. The Five Star Club offers a solution. The sponsor for this event is Eisenhower Medical Center Auxiliary.
