Join the Mended Hearts Inc. support group at their April meeting for information about women and heart disease -- the No. 1 killer of women and, according to the American Heart Association, more deadly to women than cancer. Many women are either unaware of the symptoms to pay attention to or may attribute their symptoms as due to other causes.
Carolyn Warner, a spokesperson for WomenHeart, the National Coalition for Women and Heart Disease, will give insight about her experience with heart disease. For Carolyn’s story, click here.
The Mended Hearts Inc. support group meets on the second Thursday of each month (October through June) at 6 to 8 p.m. in the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower. Reservations are not required. The speaker for this event is Carolyn Warner WomenHeart.
