Eisenhower Sponsors City of Palm Springs Health Festival

Eisenhower “Galaxy” Sponsor for City of Palm Springs Mayor’s Healthy Planet, Healthy You Race and Wellness Festival

In an effort to raise awareness about childhood obesity, Eisenhower Medical Center will serve as a “Galaxy” sponsor for the City of Palm Springs Mayor’s Healthy Planet, Healthy You Race and Wellness Festival on Saturday, April 21. Additionally, Eisenhower Medical Center has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of the Coachella Valley, sponsoring nearly 50 children to participate in the walk.

The event will include a walker/stroller/doggie friendly 5K course. The 7-mile course will highlight many of the historical sites of downtown Palm Springs and both courses run through beautiful downtown Palm Springs. The 1K Kids’ Run is FREE. Finisher awards will be presented to all participants and division awards will be given three deep.

Eisenhower Medical Center will offer free body mass index (BMI) readings and an information booth for participants who want to learn more about all the wellness offerings at Eisenhower locations throughout the Coachella Valley.
